The Mouthwatering Mongolian Menu
This form of cooking really does have its roots in the 13th century. The transcripts of Marco Polo's writings mention Mongolian warriors cooking on upturned shields. Over time the method of cooking over a fire on a flat metal surface spread to other parts of Asia. Today the best-developed form of this style of cooking is found at The Mongolian BarbequeTM. There are a number of imitators but, in reality, nobody does it better.
